Your Save The Date or Wedding Invitation is your first chance to wow your guests. It sets the tone of your wedding and sets an expectation. I have over 6 years working experience as a Graphic Designer, working for a variety of clients. My passion lies in creating something that’s not been created before. My aim is to create unique, high quality stationery that reflects you and your partner. The most important thing for me is to ensure I can create a design that you both love within your budget. Please don’t be offended when I ask your budget near the start of our conversation. Your budget allows me to tailor your design and print work to suit your requirements.
I follow a general process when creating your wedding stationery, as I do with any creative process. Below summarises this process:
1 – Your Consultation Meeting: It’s always best (if possible) to sit down, relax, enjoy a cup of tea and discuss your requirements at a Consultation Meeting.
2 – Your Project Brief: A Project Brief document will follow outlining all your requirements, project schedule and full cost breakdown. When you are happy with the Project Brief, a 30% non-refundable deposit is due.
3 & 4 – Your Mock Proofs & Your Final Design Proofs: At this point, I will begin creating Mock Design Proofs followed by your Final Design Proofs.
5 – Your Wedding Stationery: When you give everything the OK, I send the artwork off to the printer. Within 10 working days, your wedding stationery will be here. When you are completely happy with your wedding stationery, the remaining 70% payment is required.
A more detailed outline of the process can be downloaded by clicking here.
I am more than aware that your wedding may not suit this general process so I am fully flexible (within reason of course) to adapt the process to suit your needs. All you have to do is ask.
All custom designs start with a £50 design fee. This covers the general alterations to the existing design such as your name, date of wedding, location etc. The design fee will correspond to the amount of customisation to the design (or designs – you may like parts of different designs). After Your Consultation Meeting, a full cost breakdown will be provided in Your Project Brief which will include your design fee quotation.
Bespoke Designs (starting from scratch)
I am a Graphic Designer and Illustrator so all designs are created by myself. I do not use templates from another source. Because of this, I do have the creative and technical skills to create a bespoke design to suit your wedding. Whatever you are planning, you may want your wedding stationery to be completely unique to the two of you. The design fee for this starts from £100. The design fee will correspond to the complexity of your design ideas. It’s helpful to show me designs you have seen that you like to help illustrate your vision. Bring these along to your Consultation Meeting if possible. Again, the full cost breakdown will be provided in Your Project Brief which will include your design fee quotation.
The print cost varies according to your requirements. I have print and paper samples that I bring along to your Consultation Meeting to give you an idea of the final finish options also.
As always, do not hesitate to contact me using my wedding enquiry form to discuss your ideas further.
